Effective January 1, 2021, Assembly Bill 685 (AB685) is intended to protect non-remote workers from potential exposure to the COVID-19 virus. With this bill, the state of California is able to track COVID-19 cases in the worksite more closely through employer notices and reporting obligations. Employers will need to stay vigilant in implementing these COVID-19 policies in their workplace as well as producing the necessary documents to Cal/OSHA. It is also recommended that employers create an action plan for COVID-19 in order to properly identify workplace risks and how to best control exposure.

With this bill, there are changes employers should be prepared for and we’ll cover them in this webinar:

  • New Notice Requirements
  • New COVID-19 Outbreak Reporting
  • Changes to the Normal Cal/OSHA Process
  • Next Steps for Employers
